Hooloon Art presents three artists representing London, New York, and San Francisco. Guillaume Cornet presents works from his Cityscape and Favela series, including intricate black and white ink drawings of Philadelphia and New York and colorful hand colored screen prints of Favelas. Guillaume uses surreal perspectives to create vibrant, unusual, humorous architectural environments filled with hundreds of characters. Chris Ballantyne’s stunning work focuses on vernacular architecture and observation of the American landscape, highlighting the antisocial effects of our built environment with a hint of humor and ambiguity. Tracy Taylor Grubbs has created a glorious series of gouache and graphite compositions upon sanded antique postcards mounted on panel, called World Without End. Grubbs removes all of the pictorial elements except the sky from the postcards and fills the space with universal forms that evoke the continual return of the world.
